Summer Bridge Pathways

Welcome to the Summer Bridge Choose Your Own Path Initiative, where your journey towards self-discovery and empowerment begins! As a high school senior, you're on the brink of a new chapter in your life, and this initiative is here to guide you through it by providing workshops to prepare you for your transition into your first year.

This summer, our program will have a capacity of 950 students. With a program this large, we want to make sure that you have the opportunity to learn with like minded students in your cohort. With three dynamic tracks tailored to your interests and aspirations, you'll have the opportunity to carve out your unique path in a community setting.

Identity Discovery Path

Dive deep into identity development, embrace your community ties, and explore the power of your voice through intersectional advocacy. This track is all about fostering your sense of self, re-affirming your strengths, and empowering you to make a difference in your community.

Career Pathways Track

Whether you're undecided about your future or pursuing a non-traditional career path, this track is tailored to you. Explore a diverse range of career development, gain insights from UC San Diego staff, and chart a course towards a fulfilling and meaningful career.

STEMming Equity Track

Are you passionate about science, technology, engineering, or math? This track is designed to bridge the gap between STEM and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). Discover how your love for STEM can be a force for positive change in the world.

Each track offers a series of engaging workshops and activities, where you'll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, staff, and resources in your chosen pathway.

To participate, you will be required to attend at least one pathway workshop per week during weeks 1-4 of the program 12-2pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. It's a small commitment with a big impact on your future.
