Summer Bridge 2024: Eligibility & Pre-Registration
Am I Eligible?
All incoming first-year students are able to apply but we prioritize students who identify as:
- First-generation, or
- From underserved populations
We are excited that you are interested in attending UC San Diego and desire to join the Summer Bridge community. Our team is looking forward to supporting your journey here at UC San Diego. Our Pre-registration process will go live on April 18th and will be open until June 17th at 11AM.
We will start reviewing the pre-registration form around May and will be accepting students on a rolling basis. This is not a "first come, first served" program and we will be reviewing all pre-registrations until our June 17th deadline.
Summer Bridge & Pre-Registration
You can pre-register for our 2024 Summer Bridge program starting on April 18th. You will have until June 17th by 11AM to pre-register for our program. You can only pre-register if you accept your offer to UC San Diego and complete your DUO Two Step Login for your UC San Diego SSO (Single Sign On). More details on this process can be found below.
How can I access the pre-registration form?

Before you pre-register, please note these important steps:
- Accept your Offer: You must accept your offer to UC San Diego before you pre-register. Once you accept your offer, please wait until you receive more information on your UC San Diego email and Single Sign-on Information. There will be a small wait as you get your UC San Diego email. You cannot create an IdealLogic sign-in to complete this form. We will not process your application if you create an IdealLogic account to pre-register.
- Set Up Your Email: Welcome to UC San Diego! Let's set up your account. Follow these intructions to set-up your account and your password.
- Register for Two-Step Login (Duo): Follow these steps to get started and register devices to use with the two-step login. To use two-step login, you'll need to register devices you'll have access to when logging in, including your cellphone and/or token at duo.ucsd.edu. This page discusses registering a device for the first time. Follow this support link for more information on Duo. If you have any problems with the Duo process, please visit this troubleshooting link.
After you complete these steps, you will be ready to pre-register for our Summer Bridge program. You have until June 17th at 11AM to complete your pre-registration.
